Planning the Milestones

ahead can be introduced relatively quickly, but the individual steps should be well planned. The following points should be considered before and during planning:

• What content is mandatory for the go-live.
• Will all employees be invited to the platform at the same time or will this be done e.g. by department, country, etc.?
• Take your colleagues along for the journey. Communication of the project marketing should start as early as possible to build excitement among employees.
• Is there a suitable company event where the go-live for the new platform can be announced?
• Availability of the project team during project.
• Also plan time for any audits, e.g., in the areas of data security, compliance, IT architecture, etc....

Side note: The project is often considered complete with the go-live. However, even after the go-live, plan how ahead will remain current and how the content will be maintained. The responsible parties should meet at least once a quarter.
