What are language fallbacks?

If you’re working in a multilingual environment we made sure that everyone gets content in the language that they understand. We understand that it can be tricky to always be up-to-date and have all your content translated. That’s why we have language fallbacks.
Depending on the amount of languages you have in ahead, you put these into a sequence: first, second, third etc. Depending on what language your users have configured and what language the content is available in, our system goes through this order of languages. As soon as there is a match, the user sees that content.
