Challenge

Swissgenetics employs 365 people, 270 of whom work in the field. In the past, the majority of communication was via e-mail. The existing, rather static intranet was used regularly by very few employees.

The many internal e-mails (e-mail to all) often remained unread in the mailbox and important information did not reach the recipients. Furthermore, the e-mail communication prevented the important exchange among the field staff and information silos were created within the organization. It was often difficult for employees to identify relevant information and retrieve it quickly and easily while on the road.

Solution

With ahead, Swissgenetics was able to massively simplify the exchange with and between employees, as follows:

  • Important information can be efficiently delivered to the relevant target groups via the ahead employee app. The resulting time savings of 25% have freed up additional human capital.
  • Strengthening of the "we" feeling at Swissgenetics thanks to the company compass and regular stories including personal images and videos posted in ahead.
